This policy explains how LatestIPOToday handles personal data when you visit https://latestipotoday.com. It applies to every page on this domain. Please read it alongside our About page, which explains who we are and how the site is funded.
1. Who we are, and who is responsible
LatestIPOToday ("we", "us", "the site") is the data controller for the personal data described in this policy. Under the EU and UK General Data Protection Regulation, that means we decide why and how your data is processed and we are accountable for it.
- Controller: LatestIPOToday, operated by Pitam
- Postal address: City, State, PIN, India
- Privacy contact: privacy@latestipotoday.com
- General contact: contact@latestipotoday.com
We have not appointed a Data Protection Officer, as we are not required to under Article 37 of the GDPR. Privacy enquiries are handled directly by Pitam at the address above.
2. The short version
- The calculators run entirely in your browser. Nothing you type into a calculator is transmitted to us, logged or stored.
- We do not ask you to register, and we do not build accounts or profiles.
- Our web server keeps standard access logs, which include IP addresses, for security and troubleshooting.
- Third parties — principally Google — may set cookies for advertising and analytics. In the EEA, the UK and Switzerland these are only set if you consent.
- If you email us or use the contact form, we keep that correspondence so we can reply.
- We do not sell your personal data.
3. What we collect
3.1 Calculator inputs — not collected
Every calculation on this site is performed in JavaScript inside your own browser. Loan amounts, incomes, property values, holding periods and returns are held in memory on your device for the length of your visit and are then discarded. They are never sent to our server, never written to a database and never shared. If you use the "copy summary" or "print" buttons, the result goes to your clipboard or your printer and nowhere else.
3.2 Information you give us
If you use the contact form or write to one of our email addresses, we receive whatever you choose to send: typically your name, your email address, the subject you select and the content of your message. Please do not send us account numbers, PAN or Aadhaar details, passwords, health information or other sensitive personal data — we do not need any of it and we will delete it if it arrives.
3.3 Information collected automatically
Like almost every website, our hosting server writes an access log entry for each request. A log line typically contains your IP address, the date and time, the page requested, the HTTP status returned, the referring page and your browser's user-agent string. These logs exist so that we can keep the site running, investigate errors, and detect abuse such as scraping or denial-of-service attempts.
3.4 Cookies and similar technologies
A cookie is a small text file placed on your device by a website. Similar technologies include local storage, pixels and device fingerprinting.
We set no first-party analytics or advertising cookies of our own. The cookies you may encounter here are set by third parties, as described in the next section, and by any consent tool we use to record your cookie choices. A consent record is strictly necessary — without it we could not remember that you declined.
You can block or delete cookies through your browser settings. Blocking all cookies will not break the calculators, which need none of them to work.
4. Third parties that may process your data
We use a small number of external services. Each is an independent controller or processor of the data it receives, and each has its own privacy policy that governs what it does with that data.
4.1 Google advertising (Google AdSense and partners)
This site is supported by advertising. Google, as a third-party vendor, uses cookies to serve ads on this site.
- Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to this site and other sites on the internet.
- Third-party vendors and ad networks other than Google may also serve ads on this site and may likewise use cookies.
- You may opt out of personalised advertising by Google by visiting Google Ads Settings.
- You can opt out of personalised advertising from many other vendors at aboutads.info/choices, optout.networkadvertising.org or, in Europe, youronlinechoices.eu.
- Google's own explanation of how it uses data from sites that use its services is at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.
Opting out of personalised ads does not remove advertising from the site; it means the ads you see are chosen without reference to your browsing history.
4.2 Analytics
We may use Google Analytics to understand which pages are read, which calculators are used and where technical problems occur. Google Analytics sets cookies that assign a random identifier to your browser and record page views, approximate location derived from a truncated IP address, device type and referral source. We use this in aggregate; we do not attempt to identify individual readers from it, and we have not enabled any feature that would let us do so.
Google's privacy policy is at policies.google.com/privacy, and a browser add-on to opt out of Google Analytics entirely is available at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.
4.3 Web fonts
Our pages load typefaces from Google Fonts. When your browser fetches a font file, your IP address and user-agent are transmitted to Google's servers so the file can be delivered. Google states that it does not use Google Fonts requests to build advertising profiles. If you would prefer this not to happen, blocking fonts.googleapis.com and fonts.gstatic.com will simply cause the site to render in your system's default typeface.
4.4 Hosting
The site is served by a commercial web host, which processes access logs on our behalf under a data processing agreement and may store them in data centres outside your country of residence.
5. Why we process your data, and our legal basis
Under Article 6 of the GDPR we must have a lawful basis for every processing activity. Ours are as follows.
- Serving the pages you request — necessary for the performance of the service you have asked for, and our legitimate interest in operating a website (Art. 6(1)(b) and 6(1)(f)).
- Security, abuse prevention and troubleshooting via server logs — our legitimate interest in keeping the site available and intact, and in defending it against attack (Art. 6(1)(f)).
- Replying to your message — our legitimate interest in answering correspondence, or your consent where you volunteered the information (Art. 6(1)(f) or 6(1)(a)).
- Advertising and analytics cookies — your consent, and only your consent (Art. 6(1)(a), read with the ePrivacy Directive). Where consent is required and not given, these cookies are not set. You may withdraw consent at any time, with effect for the future.
- Meeting legal obligations — where we must retain something to comply with law (Art. 6(1)(c)).
6. Consent, and how to change your mind
If you visit from the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, a consent banner appears before any non-essential cookie is set. You can accept all, reject all, or choose by purpose. Rejecting is as easy as accepting, and the site works identically either way.
To change a choice you have already made, reopen the consent settings from the link in the banner or in the footer, or clear this site's cookies in your browser and reload the page, which will make the banner appear again.
7. How long we keep things
- Calculator inputs: not retained at all — they exist only in your browser's memory.
- Server access logs: typically retained for up to 30 days, then overwritten, unless a specific entry is preserved for an ongoing security investigation.
- Correspondence: kept for up to 24 months after the matter is closed, so we can follow up and keep a record of what was asked and answered, then deleted.
- Consent records: kept for as long as required to evidence that consent was given or refused, generally 12 months.
- Third-party cookies: governed by the retention periods of the third party that set them, not by us.
8. Who we share data with
We do not sell personal data, and we do not trade or rent contact details to anyone. We share data only with:
- the service providers named in section 4, in each case for the purpose described there;
- our hosting and email providers, as processors, so that the site runs and messages reach us;
- professional advisers, or a law enforcement or regulatory body, where we are legally obliged to disclose or must defend a legal claim.
9. International transfers
We are based in India. Several of the providers above, including Google, are based in the United States or operate globally, so your data may be transferred outside your own country and outside the EEA or the UK.
Where personal data of EEA or UK residents is transferred, it is protected by an appropriate safeguard under Chapter V of the GDPR: the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses, the UK International Data Transfer Addendum, or a valid adequacy decision such as the EU–US Data Privacy Framework where the recipient is certified under it. You may request a copy of the relevant safeguard by writing to privacy@latestipotoday.com.
10. Your rights in the EEA and the UK
If the GDPR applies to you, you have the right to:
- Access — obtain confirmation of whether we process your data and receive a copy of it.
- Rectification — have inaccurate data corrected and incomplete data completed.
- Erasure — have your data deleted where one of the grounds in Article 17 applies.
- Restriction — require us to pause processing while a dispute about accuracy or lawfulness is resolved.
- Portability — receive data you provided to us in a structured, commonly used, machine-readable format.
- Object — object at any time to processing based on legitimate interests, and absolutely to processing for direct marketing.
- Withdraw consent — at any time, without affecting the lawfulness of processing carried out before withdrawal.
- Not be subject to automated decision-making that produces legal or similarly significant effects. We do not carry out any such decision-making.
To exercise any of these, write to privacy@latestipotoday.com. We will respond within one month, extendable by two further months for complex requests, and we will tell you if we need the extension. There is no charge unless a request is manifestly unfounded or excessive. We may ask for enough information to be satisfied of your identity, but no more than that.
You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority — in the UK, the Information Commissioner's Office; in the EEA, the authority in your country of residence, place of work or the place of the alleged infringement. We would appreciate the chance to address your concern first.
11. Your rights in India
Under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, if you are a Data Principal in India you may request access to a summary of the personal data we process and the processing activities undertaken, request correction, completion, updating or erasure of that data, nominate another individual to exercise your rights in the event of death or incapacity, and withdraw any consent you have given.
Grievances should be sent to privacy@latestipotoday.com, marked for the attention of the Grievance Officer, and will be acknowledged promptly. If a grievance is not resolved to your satisfaction, you may approach the Data Protection Board of India.
12. Your rights in California
Under the California Consumer Privacy Act as amended by the CPRA, California residents may request disclosure of the categories and specific pieces of personal information collected, request deletion or correction, and opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of personal information. We do not sell personal information for money. However, the use of advertising cookies by third parties for cross-context behavioural advertising may qualify as "sharing" under that law. To opt out, use the personalised-advertising controls in section 4.1, or enable a Global Privacy Control signal in your browser, which we honour where it is transmitted. We will not discriminate against you for exercising any of these rights.
13. Children
This site is written for adults making borrowing and investment decisions and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 16, and, consistent with India's DPDP Act, we do not knowingly process the personal data of anyone under 18 without verifiable parental consent, nor do we permit behavioural advertising to be targeted at them. If you believe a child has sent us personal data, write to privacy@latestipotoday.com and we will delete it.
14. Security
The site is served over HTTPS, so traffic between your browser and our server is encrypted in transit. Access to the server and to our mailboxes is restricted and protected by multi-factor authentication. Because we deliberately collect so little — no accounts, no passwords, no stored calculations — there is very little for an attacker to take. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
15. Links to other websites
Where we link to a lender, a regulator, a fund house or a news source, that link is provided for reference. We do not control those sites and are not responsible for their content or their privacy practices. Read their policies before giving them anything.
16. Changes to this policy
We update this policy when our practices, our providers or the law change. The "last updated" date at the top always reflects the current version. If a change materially affects how your data is handled, we will make that clear on the site — and where the change requires it, we will ask for your consent again.
17. Contact and complaints
Questions about this policy, requests to exercise your rights, and complaints about how we have handled your data all go to privacy@latestipotoday.com, or by post to LatestIPOToday, City, State, PIN, India. You can also use the contact form. We aim to acknowledge every privacy enquiry within five working days.
One more thing
This policy describes how we handle data. It is not a substitute for the disclosures in our About page about what this site is and is not: we publish calculators and explanatory writing, we do not give financial advice, and no figure produced here should be treated as a recommendation.
